Frank Greco and Frank Gioia of "frankeeproductions" are proud to reflect on a year of performances for students at White Pines Collegiate and Vocational School, bringing music, culture and storytelling to life through live multimedia musical shows. The duo has been a driving force behind the school's Cultural Week, a celebration of diverse cultures and arts that has become a highlight of the academic calendar.
This year, they're taking it a step further with "Musica Del Cuore," an Italian culture and music showcase set for May 8. The event promises to be a sensory feast, blending music, cuisine, and cultural traditions.
A Musical Showcase and More
Frank Gioia, fresh off his runner-up finish at the Sanremo Senior 2025 festival, will perform the award-winning song "Marina." His performance is sure to captivate audiences with its blend of traditional and contemporary Italian music.
But "Musica Del Cuore" is more than just a musical showcase. It's a full cultural experience. The evening will begin with an Italian dinner featuring pasta and meatballs, transforming the school cafeteria into a lively Italian piazza. Accordionist Vito Tassone will perform during the dinner hour, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The mainstage presentation of "Musica Del Cuore" will follow the dinner, featuring a special opening performance by the Marconi Electra Women's Italian Choir. This choir brings a unique blend of traditional and modern Italian vocals, setting the stage for the main event.
A Fundraising Effort
As part of White Pines' Cultural Week, "Musica Del Cuore" is not just a celebration of culture and music; it's also a fundraising event. Proceeds from the evening will directly support school initiatives, making it a meaningful way for the community to give back while enjoying an entertaining experience.
An Evening to Remember
The event is open to the public and will be shared with students during the day. Tickets and additional details are available at https://saultctc.ca/event/italian-night-out/.
"Musica Del Cuore" promises to be a memorable evening, offering a unique blend of music, culture, and community spirit. It's an opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich traditions of Italy while supporting a worthy cause.
In my opinion, this event is a testament to the power of cultural exchange and the impact it can have on a community. It's a celebration of diversity and a reminder that art and culture can bring people together in meaningful ways. I encourage everyone to attend and experience the magic of "Musica Del Cuore" for themselves.
